What we could be
There is a version of your working life in which the administrative, the repetitive, and the mechanical take up less and less of your time and energy. There is a version in which the research is done for you before you have even sat down to think. A version in which the first draft already exists before you have written a word. A version in which the scheduling, formatting, and filing are all taken care of by machines so you can spend your time doing the work that defines you as a person. That version is available right now to anyone willing to learn to use the technology.
Undergods is built on the idea that we are at the very beginning of something significant. That the use of well-thought-out AI-driven automation has the potential to free people up to do the work they were hired to do. Not to replace human creative and judicial skills but to clear the way for them. The bureaucracies of modern working life, the emails, reports, research loops, first drafts of everything, are not where the best of us exists. Automation will move them out of the way.
This is a blog about how you can do that in practice. What the tools are, how they work, what they are really good at, and how to build workflows that serve your thinking rather than substitute for it. I will draw on my active participation in professional marketing communities as well as direct daily use of these tools.
